People In Motion 2014
A sure sign of spring is the annual People in Motion Exhibition on June 6th and 7th, 2014
I have been a regular exhibitor at People in Motion for many years. And this is a special year for Canada’s largest event for people with disabilities – it’s the 25th anniversary.
Personally, I love the event. It is a great opportunity for me to meet people in person – a warm advantage over the phone and email. I always bring a free standing display to highlight some of the prime accessible properties I have for sale at the time.
Over the years I have developed a number of strong professional relationships through the show with businesses that specialize in providing products and services for persons with disabilities. And there is always something new to help make living spaces more accessible, safe and comfortable.
People in Motion exhibitors will include a focus on mobility aids, adapted vehicles, rehabilitation services, home healthcare products, travel and leisure activities, corporate and government services and accessible housing. There will also be samples of a variety of publications and associations to join.
And there is always something special. This year, people of all abilities and ages can try their hand at archery. Lawrence Gunther, legally blind since the age of 8 has created the world’s first fishing boat capable of being operated by a person who is blind. Canadian Singer-songwriter Justin Hines will be performing songs from his latest album…and you can watch a demonstration and learn all about the Toronto Power Wheelchair Hockey League.
People in Motion will be held at Exhibition Place in the Queen Elizabeth Building on June 6th and 7th.
You can find me at Booth # 241. Please stop by and introduce yourself!
